The Freeze Drying Process
Now that you have chosen your flowers carefully, spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars, it's time to turn those expenses into timeless memories!  With Freeze Drying, your bouquet will look the same way they were when you  brought to us after your special occasion, allowing you to cherish those memories for years to come.

The process starts after we receive your bouquet and we begin the rehydrating process to get the flowers in the best shape possible.

Once the flowers are rehydrated, the bouquet will be treated with a water based solution, which makes the flowers more durable. The bouquet does not need to be taken apart to do this.  Our Freeze Drier is big enough to fit any bouquet of any size inside, and powerful enough to freeze dry it completely!

The Freeze Drying process allows us to keep the flowers the same shape and size as they were when delivered to us. However, you will notice in the coming years that that colors will change slightly. For example, whites will become ivory and reds may become a deeper tone.  Over time, all the flowers will take on a softer Victorian appearance.
The process itself of Freeze Drying is quite remarkable!  Your bouquet will be frozen to -30', and with a vacuum pump, the moisture will be removed from the bouquet, leaving the flowers in their natural appearance and shape.

The process takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks after we have received your flowers and filled out the order form.  While 4 to 6 weeks is typical, sometimes certain frames can cause delays because they are out of stock. In these cases delivery times may be stretched to 6 to 8 weeks. All the work is done by professionals with years of experience from beginning to end.

Most flowers will Freeze dry beautifully, but there are some exceptions. Chrysanthemums, Daises, Small Petal Blooms, Spider Dahlias, Bourvardia and some greens do Freeze Dry with the best results.  They will most likely be substituted in your keepsake design.

To have the very best results with Freeze Drying, your bouquet needs to be received as soon as possible after your special occasion.

A truly unique and memorable way to preserve your memories for you to cherish and others to envy. Please call us with any questions or to arrange a special consultation.
